Dance Tag

You will need: a beanbag, speaker, music (suggested Shrek soundtrack)

• Choose 3 or 4 taggers, give them a beanbag and play the music attached.
• Taggers try to catch all of the students. If a student is caught, they must stop and create a simple dance move on the spot.
• To be freed, a friend must stand in front of them and copy their dance move for 3 seconds before they rejoin the game.
• If caught again they must create a different dance move to be released.

Musical Hoops

You will need: hoops, music/speaker

• Students imagine they are a shopper and the hula hoops are shopping trolleys.
• If you have 20 students, for example, place 18 in a circle and one in the middle.
• Choose one volunteer to begin in the middle hoop. When the music starts students skip clockwise around the circle.
• When the music stops, students must jump into a hoop (shopping trolley) as quickly as possible. The student who does not have a hoop switches with the student in the centre hoop and students begin skipping around the circle of hoops once more.
• Repeat a number of times.
  

Stretch & Bend

You will need: a speaker, cool down song

• Inform the students that before they go, we are going to cool down our bodies so they are ready and relaxed for their next lesson.
• Play the attached cooldown song which moves through stretching and movement actions.
