Lesson 3 - I Wonder...
African Savannah Stretch
You will need: Savannah Stretch prompts (printable), speaker, music (suggested african drum music)
- Form a circle with your students and ask them to stand.
- Explain to the class that at the start of each morning all the animals on the African Savannah come together to stretch and move their bodies.
- Play the music attached and begin stretching with the class. Use the Savannah Stretch Prompts (printable) attached or you could use your own stretches.

I Wonder...
You will need: no equipment
Find your own space in the playing area. Skip carefully and freely around the playing area.
I wonder... can you:
- skip angrily, happily, sadly, lightly, loosely
- change your skipping speed every 10 seconds
- skip to the beat of my clap
Freeze Dance
You will need: speaker, music (suggested I Like to Move it Move it)
- Ask students to dance around the room as creatively as they like.
- When the music stops students must FREEZE still so the predator on the Savannah (the teacher) doesn't see them move.
- If the predator sees them moving students step into the predators den (step out of the game).
- Students frozen out may join back into the game the next time the music is stopped.
