Sun & Ice

You will need: 1 or 2 blue and yellow beanbags

The sun and the snowballs have to run and chase all the other children. If you are tagged with a blue beanbag you have to freeze (ice). You can only be released by being tagged with a yellow beanbag (the sun).

Speed Up/Slow Down

You will need: No Equipment

Line up in a straight line in your team. The student at the front will be the train driver (Pace setter). The job of the train driver is to change the pace from slow to medium to fast. The rest of the group are the carriages following the pace set by the train driver. When I blow the whistle we will freeze and the train driver will go to the end of the train and we will have a new train driver changing speeds.

Train Station

You will need: whistle

I would like you to pair up with a friend. One person is the train driver and one will be the trains carriage behind the driver. The train carriage has to follow the driver around the room. The driver should walk quickly in any direction around the area. When I blow my whistle switch roles quickly.

Okay, gradually slow the speed to a standstill.

Continue to stand one behind the other. Shadow each others’ stretching movements. Remember to breathe in and out.
